About the Digest

Montana Civil Law Digest covers the civil law profession in Montana.

We summarize complaints each month from 10 of the largest district courts in Montana — Cascade, Flathead, Gallatin, Lake, Lewis and Clark, Lincoln, Missoula, Ravalli, Butte-Silverbow and Yellowstone. We bring you news on Montana Supreme Court and Montana Federal District Court cases, as well as law firm news and attorney profiles.

The Montana Civil Law Digest is produced by NewWest Communications LLC. Since 1995 NewWest Communications has been at the forefront of lifestyle and specialty magazine publishing in Montana.

We publish Montana Living (www.montanaliving.com), Montana Health Journal, Montana Golf Magazine and Montana's Finest Homes.

Editor and publisher David Reese has led the creation and development of these publications. A graduate of the University of Montana School of Journalism, Reese has been a career journalist in Montana for over 30 years. He spent the last eight years with Courthouse News Service, where he covered civil litigation in Montana. He was responsible for covering civii law and public affairs in Montana, and he reported on eight district courts in northwest Montana.
